![]() ![]() The entire weekend the kids were tracking water all over the hotel tile floor that no one kept up with. That night I went swimming and the wall is falling apart in the pool room and there are children and teens making such a racket that I'm amazed people in the neighboring apartment complex didn't file a noise complaint. I guess the lack of a "do not disturb" sign wasn't an issue then. I went to eat with friends and two and a half hours later went back and housekeeping hadn't been there so no towels. I called down for towels and was rudely told they were drying by a different staff member. Then the next morning I was supposed to go to the pool and then shower before going to the college reunion we were having and noticed there were no towels. It was bad enough that I wasn't sure if they hadn't been changed or if it was a stain. I get into bed and there was a dirty spot on the sheet. But then I called down later for an extra blanket and was rudely told - we have none. The entryway light didn't work but I could accept that. But I noticed there was no shampoo in the bathroom so I called down to ask for some and was told that they were out. I don't normally do this but this stay was so bad that I regret not staying with the first hotel reservation that I made even if it was more expensive. I contacted the main office and haven't heard back from them either. The staff promised a call from the manager when I checked out but of course, that never happened. I had the worst stay I have ever had at the Country Inn and Suites on I-27 in Lubbock, Tx. The bathroom wasn't working, so we had to take our 4 yr old up to the room every time she had to use the potty and back down to the pool. The floor of the pool was cracked and chipped. The floor tiles throughout the hotel were either loose or missing. We stayed 5 days and 4 nights a s only got fresh towels once. The bathroom counter and TV remote had a white, sticky residue on it. The toilet was not anchored and threatened to dump you off every time we sat on it. We had to ask at the desk - and the ones we were given were stained. The card reader wasn't working, so asked for a $50 cash deposit which we luckily had. When we checked in, the clerk had no idea what we were talking about. Both times I was told it would be added and available upon check in. I called twice to confirm my reservation, both times asking for a rollaway. ![]() The website advertised family friendly and rollaway beds available.
